Attention PIP E-mail Users
On or about Tuesday June 20 PIP will be upgrading our email server/system to more efficiently handle your email needs.
You will not need to make any changes to your computer due to this upgrade, and delivery of new mail should not be interrupted.
If you use PIP’s WebMail function from our website, you will see a different interface. You will continue to enter your email username and password just as you do with the current WebMail function.
You will have the option to have your username and password “remembered”, (but doing so will allow anyone using your computer access to your email). Once you log in, the way you see and process your mail is almost identical to what you have been using all along with PIP.
If you use WebMail folders or the WebMail inbox for regular storage of email rather than downloading it to your computer, you may experience some delay in the transfer of the folder content. We encourage you to download any stored mail that is important to you and to “clean out” your WebMail folders of any mail you intend to eventually delete.
WebMail was never intended to be a permanent mail storage box of PIP Email, and we cannot guarantee such stored mail against loss. If it is critical to you, it should be kept on your computer and/or backup files created.
