Open My Computer on your desktop

Open Dial-Up Networking

Double Click Make New Connection

The Make New Connection Wizard will start

Name the connection PIP

Click Next

Enter the phone number provided to you by the PIP staff

Note: Do not put an area code in the area code box when entering the phone number

Click Next

Click Finish

You will now see the PIP icon in the dial-up networking folder.

Right Click the PIP icon

Select Properties

The PIP properties windows will open

Click the Server Types tab

In the Server Types tab uncheck Log on to network

Uncheck Netbeui and IPX/SPX under Allowed Network Protocols

Click OK

Right click the PIP icon once again.

Select Create Shortcut

Answer yes when asked if you would “like to create a shortcut on the desktop.”

Close the Dial-Up Networking window.

To access the Internet double click on the PIP icon on your desktop and enter the username and password provided below. Make sure to enter both in all lower case. Then click connect to connect.

Congratulations! You are ready to get on the Internet.
